This webpage is a demonstration of an algorithm which can generate a 3D model of knee bones (femur or tibia) from their 2D X-ray images. 3D models of bones have applications in surgical training, surgical navigation and robotic surgeries. The conventional ways to create 3D models of bone uses CT scans which have been identified as a possible cause of growing risks of cancer, specially in children. This webpage was developed to motivate researchers around the world to create such algorithms which can use low cost and low radiation imaging sources (like 2D Xray image) to generate 3D models.
