More About Showgoers
Showgoers is a way to remotely watch the same movie on Netflix with your friends or loved ones. Watch movies together over distance by having your Netflix players sync up. You can also chat using the Showgoers side panel.
It's as easy as starting your movie on Netflix, clicking the Showgoers button, and sharing your Showgoers invite link with whoever you want to watch with you. When they open the invite URL in their browser, they automatically start sync-watching the same movie on Netflix as you. If you play, pause, or jump to a new time in the movie, their Netflix player will follow yours. Easy!
Everyone who is watching with you must:
1) Be signed into their Netflix account before opening the invite URL
2) Have installed the Showgoers Chrome extension
3) Open the invite URL in Chrome
It's especially great for long-distance relationships because it can create a shared experience for you and your partner. If you really want to make it feel like you're in the same room, I recommend doing a Skype video chat so that you can see and hear their reaction as you are watching together. It's almost as good as being in the same room.
