AWS Colours is a free Developer Tools Extension for Chrome. You could download the latest version crx file and install it.
More About AWS Colours
This extension changes the AWS console header color depending on the Region and/or Account you've selected and configured. Regions come with a default colour but you can choose any CSS colour for both the Region and/or Account.
Hopefully this will help stop recources being created in the wrong Region and/or Account.
