Search using a *real* privacy-by-default search engine
Findx is an independent search engine working by a "privacy by default" principle. We never collect or share information about you. We don't need to know who you are to provide our service.
Unlike most of the other privacy-centric search engines, Findx is a real search engine. Others, like DuckDuckGo and StartPage, get their results from Google and Bing, which means they cannot be certain that the results have not been shaped by the partner search engine based on their user's behavior and previous searches. At Findx, we have full control. We have our own index, the algorithm is ours, and we do not use previous searches as a ranking factor. Our search engine is even open source so you can have a look yourself.

Permissions required by this plugin
This extension requires permissions that may sound bad, but they are needed to be able to disable trackers and data collection from the sites you visit.
* Read and change all your data on the websites you visit. This is needed because we modify the pages as you browse them, to remove tracking scripts (and optionally ads if you have enabled that).
* Change your privacy-related settings. This is needed to tighten browser privacy settings.
