More About List Highlighter for Trello

List Highlighter helps you focus on what you're working on right now.

Trello boards can fill up with multiple lists very quickly, when often what you want to see is what you’re working on right now. This extension is designed to make it easier to focus by making the the “Doing” list stand out and dimming other lists. It foregrounds your current tasks while keeping everything else in the background.

To do lists stay as they are. Doing lists are highlighted. Done lists are faded and greyed out.

Just name your list Todo, Doing, or Done, and styles will be applied automatically. Or name it what you like and tag it with a hashtag (e.g. #todo, #doing, #done). The hashtag will only appear when you're editing the title.

3.6.3 (13 September 2019) Header/separator cards were turning invisible after being created (a separate bug); this has been fixed again.

3.6.2 (24 April 2019) 2 bug fixes: Trello made a change to the site which broke this extension, this has been fixed; additionally, header/separator cards were turning invisible after being created, and this has also been addressed.

Version 3.6.1 (5 September 2018) Fixing a bug that prevented live updating of dimming options. Updated copy in the dimming section in options. Tweaked the transition for undim on hover. Undim lists now works when adding a card, editing a card in place and hovering over when dragging a file to attach. Visual fix for spacing with header cards in edge cases. Setting up highlighting now happens when re-opening a closed board. Popup menu tweaked to load faster. More code efficiency tweaks.

Version 3.6 (4 July 2018) Options page supports Chrome’s and Firefox’s new extension settings page; Dimming choices applied to examples around options page; Fixes two visual bugs with header cards and list limit/card count notices.

Version 3.5 (26 June 2018) makes un-dim on hover work when navigating boards with the keyboard. Card count now shows “points” instead of “cards” when “Enable points on cards” is on and at least one card on the list is marked as worth more than 1. Also includes a usability tweak to the options page and a visual fix for Trello’s buttons on header cards.

Version 3.4 (23 June 2018) allows you to set custom dimming levels, and gives you the option to un-dim lists when you mouse over them. There's also a new options page that's easier to use.
