My Orator takes the current page that you're visiting and creates an audio version of it using Text To Speech so that you can play the article back in your podcast player and even on the Amazon Echo.
This extension emails you the text of the article (which is free) - audio conversion is a low cost service, you get 35 minutes of free audio conversion.
THIS EXTENSION DOES NOT TAKE UP ANY SPACE ON YOUR MENU
This can be activated with ONE HAND shortcut (Ctrl+Space) so that you don't have to have another icon taking up the real estate in your extensions menu.
THIS EXTENSION DOES NOT REQUIRE PERMISSIONS TO READ/MODIFY CONTENTS OF SITES YOU VISIT
Unlike most extensions out there, this Chrome extension doesn't have permissions to view/modify the contents of any of the pages you visit so that you don't have to worry about the extension reading sensitive information from your bank website. (It only reads the Title and URL of the current tab when activated - as such, URLs that are behind paywalls or require login may not be converted properly)
