BetterCupid 0.10.1 CRX for Chrome

Version 0.10.0 is finally out, bringing a new look and support for the latest okcupid changes (as of 5/24/2015), along with a new much-requested photo zoom module that I think is really quite enjoyable. ======================= This currently serves largely as a tech demo. It's my first foray into chrome extension development. Nothing is really set in stone. There may be bugs. I'll fix them up as quick as I can. I may get rid of things. That's sort of the nature of this as I still try to figure out how I want to design the framework. Special Notes: This extension uses content scripts to manipulate the OkCupid webpages. After installation, Chrome will only apply the content scripts to newly opened pages, so any previously opened pages will need to be refreshed in order to see the effects of installing this extension. Similarly, after extension updates, pages will need to be refreshed in order to see the latest changes. Permission Explanations: - Read and change your data on all okcupid.com sites : BetterCupid injects markup, css, and javascript into okcupid pages and it has access to every piece of data on each page, but it will never transmit this data without your permission. Largely, it changes things to present it in a more friendly fashion, but every feature can be disabled. The pieces of data that it does gather (such as your recently viewed history) are merely for its own internal use in order to offer you more features (like showing you more than just your last 8 visited members). - Access your tabs : BetterCupid only cares about tabs that you have open to okcupid.com.. and it monitors for these tabs and stores their tab information (id, url, etc). The reason it has this access is so that messages can be pushed to your tabs in order to do things like alert you of updates and important messages (*not yet implemented but coming soon). Unfortunately there's no way to get access to just certain tabs.. it's all or nothing.. but BetterCupid ignores all other tabs. - Read your browsing history : BetterCupid doesn't actually read your browsing history at all and it doesn't use Google history module. This warning is because BetterCupid has tabs permissions so it's allowed to open and close tabs and do other things that would affect your history. But it doesn't. *** I take your privacy seriously and I honestly just don't care what you do with your internet time, but never download an extension unless you trust it. I offer all the source code up on github.com so you can see exactly how BetterCupid works and what it does, and if you still want to use it but don't trust it, you can download the source code and manually install and update it so you can be fully assured that it doesn't do anything malicious.
