Pinboard Keyboard Shortcut is a free Productivity Extension for Chrome. You could download the latest version crx file and install it.
More About Pinboard Keyboard Shortcut
This extension allows you to override the default Chrome keyboard shortcut for adding a bookmark to instead bookmark the current page to Pinboard.
You may customize the keyboard shortcut by clicking "Configure commands" on the Chrome Extensions page.

Note: Unfortunately Chrome has changed the behavior allowing us to override the default keyboard shortcut (Ctrl-D, or Command-D on a Mac) There is a way to override it:
https://developer.chrome.com/extensions/ui_override
but it is currently not available to outside developers, only the Chrome Bookmark Manager extension is whitelisted. Until this is available, Alt-D must be used.
