More About KineMan (Basic Edition)

The ultimate 3D reference for human skeletal anatomy, kinesiology, and joint biomechanics, allows YOU to move the joints! Observe orthopaedic motions for 39 different joints, each with 1 to 3 axes of motion. Joint behaviors are biomechanically-realistic, by use of motion parameters (rotation axes & ranges of motion) obtained from research literature and authoritative texts.

Plus, you can position and view the body from any angle, while quickly identifying more than 200 bones, described using precise scientific names & common names. Bones are rendered using high-definition bone shapes, with realistic 3D illumination and accurate perspective.

At the same time, KineMan is easy to use. You can: identify bones by hovering, select joints to move by clicking on them, and move joints by dragging across the viewing area. Or, move the body or joints using ‘smart’ sliders. You can experiment and iterate, thanks to Undo or Redo buttons. Documentation includes embedded 'Hints' & tooltips galore, plus extensive online Help.

These powerful capabilities make it possible to define complex poses, for countless applications, including: athletics & fitness, yoga, martial arts, dance, ergonomics, safety, figure drawing, cartoons, or whatever else you can dream up. Examples: the proper stance for a free throw, posture guidelines for playing cello, perspective for illustrating a high jump, running gait analysis, the sequence of steps for a 'moonwalk', and many more.

Designed for desktop or laptop computers; works best with modern graphics processors (GPUs) and plenty of RAM. Javascript must be enabled.

To make live presentations, or copies for public, professional, clinical, or academic presentation (static or animated), you need a Presenter License, which is offered with KineMan Pro (a different product, available via subscription.
